Getting Ready to Read:

Your library is a fun learning place for young children and their families. Through special programs and activities -- along with a wide range of books, electronic materials, and a dedicated early education computer -- the CCRLD addresses the pre-literacy preparedness and helps build a learning foundation for our youngest citizens.

  • Collections of books, music CDs, DVDs, videos, and information to match kids' interests
  • Activites and programs including storytime (weekly October through April) for Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-schoolers
  • Summer Reading Program (June through July)
  • Reading spaces
  • Research tools (online databases and other reference materials) to help with school papers
