It's Autumn again, and as life winds down from harvest and summer activities, the library picks up the slack with a LOT of new programs!
Starting October 3rd, your preschool age children (3 to 6) can come to the library Monday afternoons (2:30 to 3:15pm) to enjoy a story read by our director, Janet Lyon.
Then beginning October 11th, we'll have storytimes for Babies (11:30 to 11:45am) and Toddlers (11:00 to 11:30am) every Tuesday.
Also beginning Tuesday mornings (and going through April) are our Basic Adult Computer Classes from 10 to 11am. The month of October will be spent covering beginning things like using a mouse and keyboard, as well as navigating through Microsoft Word. November will start with Microsoft Excel, December will cover Microsoft Publisher, January: the Internet -- including email and Library websites/databases. Some of these topics will repeat, so if you miss them this fall, you can possibly catch them later in the winter or early spring. (To pick up a full schedule, please visit us here at the library.)
Starting on Wednesday, October 5th, at 6:30pm we'll have a weekly, month-long class on social networking with Facebook and Twitter (for intermediate computer users).
And remember the Friends of the Library booksale on October 8th! :)
For more information, please call the library (382-4131) or check out our full calendar of events.
